Becky has been in the infusion center for several years, and I receive my Rituxan infusion for NeuroMyelitis Optica NMO every 6 months. Becky has always had a smile and a soft, kind demeanor. She goes above and beyond to make sure I’m comfortable. She is fantastic at getting my IVs on the first try, although MaryAnn did a great job today. When my IV pump kept beeping every 15 minutes, they didn’t get upset or frustrated; they walked over with a big smile and laughed with me.

My infusions take all day, but they go by relatively fast because both Becky and MaryAnn make it as enjoyable as possible. They both have a fantastic bedside manner and are absolute sweethearts. They listen to my questions or concerns, if I have any, and Becky has become a comfortable, familiar face I look forward to seeing every six months, and I’m sure MaryAnn will as well. Staffing is such a massive struggle in so many places, and it’s always been such a relief to see Becky’s smiling face. I can be a difficult stick for IV, yet she always seems to find the magical vein and apparently taught MaryAnn the trick. These two ladies are gems in the infusion center. I’m made to feel comfortable and feel like I’m a part of a family, not just another patient. Today, my back started to hurt, and Becky found a little tray I could use as a table so I could sit up straight to relieve it and work on my homework.
