Christina was the most caring, most compassionate nurse I have ever come across in the many hospital stays I've ever had! She frequently checked on me to see if I needed anything, and she got it for me! She checked on me more frequently than my other nurses, even though they were great, too. She went way over, above, and beyond in my care! It was like I had my own private duty nurse! She was always trying to find ways to help me breathe better and feel better, so that I could have my surgery. Like getting me a spirometer to use to strengthen my lungs! But the thing that stood out the most was that, on the afternoon of my surgery, she stayed an hour after work, until I got out of surgery, to make sure I was okay. You could tell she cared; you could see it in the way she did her job! She was there waiting for me with open arms. She even bought me a get-well card and made sure I had a hot meal waiting for me, since I wasn't able to eat all day. I had been scheduled for surgery before that, and I wasn't able to eat all day, so they had to cancel my surgery. On that day, she also made sure I had a hot meal waiting for me! There is no other nurse that I would rather have taking care of me! I called her my angel from heaven! She even said prayers for me! You could tell that her job wasn't just a job, it was her passion, that she genuinely loves what she does. I pray that if I ever am in the hospital again, I get to have her as my nurse again.
