Missy has a special gift, the heart of a true nurse.
Missy was the best nurse I’ve ever had. She spent so much time helping me feel like a human and more comfortable during the scariest time of my life. My water broke at 21 weeks and 5 days, and I was hospitalized. Then, at 22 weeks and 2 days, I started having contractions and bleeding, so I was so afraid of going into preterm labor.
She made me laugh and lifted my spirits during this time. She helped to get me cleaned up and was there every time I started to get anxious. Before I could even cry, she was there to support me. Four days later, the umbilical cord prolapsed, and she was not even my nurse that day, but there she was immediately in the OR, ready to help and trying to calm me down as much as possible. She was there holding my hand before and after the emergency C-section, even when she didn’t have to be, because I wasn’t even her patient, and she deserves to be recognized for that, too. Missy has a special gift, the heart of a true nurse.
Thank you so much, Missy.
