Sydney went above and beyond for her patient and their family yesterday. Her patient’s son is getting married in a couple of months, and unfortunately, this patient will not be able to make it to the wedding. Sydney decided to throw them a makeshift wedding in the hospital room. She decorated their room and had the chaplain come to do the ceremony. The family brought the patient’s dress she would’ve been wearing at the wedding and laid it over her, and the bride-to-be brought her veil to wear. Sydney posted about this in our daily chat for all the nurses to be there. It was such a beautiful experience, and I truly feel like it shows just how passionate and dedicated Sydney is to not only her patients but to the families as well.

Sydney was an amazing nurse. She took care of my mother-in-law. She consistently checked on her and went above and beyond once she heard my fiancé and me wanted a wedding ceremony at the hospital. She even decorated the room and got us a cake to celebrate with our mom. It was very special for us since our mom wouldn’t be here much longer. Words can’t describe how thankful I was for Sydney during this tough time.
