Meaghan had a patient who recently completed a gender affirming surgery. Nightly, the patient needed to use vaginal dilators. Due to some unfortunate events, she lost the dilators. The patient was in distress as this meant she would lose all progress and may have to start the process over. The team contacted multiple services, including the Labor & Delivery unit, Obstetrics clinic, and Care Coordination; however, they were not able to locate more dilators.

Meaghan went above and beyond for this patient. She contacted the gender affirming service team at the University of Virginia and managed to have them deliver a new set of vaginal dilators.
