Aubrey went to one of her patients yesterday, and they had absolutely no food in the home at all. She left that patient and went to the local grocery store and bought the patient over $100.00 worth of groceries. Then she went to her own home and got frozen meat out of her freezer, and also got a roast that she had cooked for her family, and took all of this to her patient. She got the patient some warmer clothing due to poor heating in her home. This caused the nurse to work way after regular work hours. This took not only her own money but time away from her 2 small children. She also had to prepare her home for the freezing weather once she got home. Compassion like this is not found daily in today's world.
