Liyu consistently demonstrates extraordinary compassion and goes above and beyond her duties to support our patients, their families, and the community.

Recently, Liyu cared for a patient with special needs, showing exceptional patience, support, and empathy. During this time in caring for the patient, Liyu learned it was the mother's birthday and that they had no local support, as the patient and her mother had recently relocated to Dallas. Without hesitation, Liyu brought a birthday cake and organized a small surprise celebration with staff, including the attending doctor, who contributed to the cake.

This event brought tremendous joy to the mother and created a heartfelt moment. She also helped the mother who applied for a job within the organization by connecting her with an individual within the entity to which the mother applied, to assist with the application process and facilitate networking.

 Liyu wholeheartedly embodies the ICARE and nursing values by caring for the whole person and their circumstances. She supports families with empathy, strengthens our team, and brings warmth to every interaction.
