One time, this RN picked up a day shift to assist, and she was assigned a critical patient with aortic dissection. I saw how she went above and beyond to take care of this patient until the patient was transferred. Despite having worked so hard on that day, she was willing to leave at 3 pm and return at 11 pm to support the night shift. Though this did not happen because the night shift staffing was sorted out, the willingness to even attempt this is an attribute that should be applauded.
