I would like to recognize Adrienne for her exceptional compassion and dedication to patient-centered care. Adrienne went above and beyond for a patient in the ICU who had been hospitalized for over a week. Understanding the patient’s desire to feel more humanized and regain a sense of normalcy, Adrienne took the initiative to coordinate a special experience.

She reached out to the house supervisor, who then contacted Jourdan in Rehab. Together, they arranged for the patient to be safely transported to the Rehab unit, where she was able to take a shower, brush her teeth, comb her hair, and experience a moment of dignity and comfort. Adrienne’s advocacy and thoughtful actions made a meaningful impact on the patient’s emotional well-being and exemplify the compassionate care that the DAISY Award celebrates.
