Morgan took care of a patient who had received a very difficult diagnosis while in critical care.  She was assigned to the patient for several days and provided a lot of support both to the patient and her family. 

The patient and family were distressed that Morgan was not scheduled to work on the day that the patient was going to be receiving a craniotomy and tumor resection.  Knowing how much comfort it would provide the patient and her family, Morgan came in and worked extra on her day off to be the nurse receiving the patient back from the OR. 

I can only imagine what this meant to the patient and her family.  I am a traveler on this unit and do not know Morgan well, but I was very impressed by her dedication to this patient and their family.  I have been a nurse for 11 years and have never seen someone come in extra on their day off to support a patient in this way.
