I was scheduled for a procedure at Finger Lakes Health and was extremely anxious and nervous about the whole ordeal. Katie came to my room and immediately sensed I was having anxiety and stress. Katie took the time to talk to me and then proceeded to explain all of the steps that would take place. From the pre-op room to the OR, she continued to be supportive and made me comfortable.

Once in the OR, she continued to be at my side and explain the steps. I remained calm and felt so comfortable and secure in her care. I should also add that I am hearing impaired and had to remove my hearing aid for the procedure. Katie made sure that she spoke loudly and clearly and confirmed that I had heard and understood everything she was saying. Katie made my experience a positive one, and for that I’m so grateful!
