We are so thankful for everything Danika did to help our son.
Our 4-month-old son was in the CICU due to an unexpected congenital heart defect that required surgery. We had Danika the night after the surgery and the following night. The first night was one of the hardest of our son’s and our lives as the anesthesia was wearing off, he could feel more pain, and he was hungry as he had to be NPO for 36 hours after surgery. She was so attentive to him and helped us feel comfortable in a very unnerving situation.
My husband and I went home for the second night, but when I realized it was her again, I felt relieved knowing he’d be in good and caring hands. It is rare for someone to trust a stranger with their baby, but even more rare after an ordeal like this, where they are suffering. This speaks to the compassion she showed him and us, the timeliness of her responses, and her ability to safely care and attend to our son. While my husband and I were home, we called for an update, and she assured us he was not only okay but progressing in his recovery. We are so thankful for everything Danika did to help our son.
