I met Nurse Amy Corley a couple years ago when I started to attend the cancer care infusion center as a patient. Amy has been amazing! I trust her abilities and her amazing heart. She truly loves her patients, and it shows. She has the heart of a servant and so many patients love her and appreciate the care she gives. I know I do personally.

Last year I had an unfortunate setback in my health journey, and I relapsed due to sepsis. Amy cared for me with infusions during this time and I was so overwhelmed by her compassion, professionalism, and care! She encouraged me through my setback, and it made the difference in my healing journey. She just has this amazing gift to care for others. She is kind and selfless and the cancer center is lucky to have her as a nurse. I recommend that she be considered for the DAISY Award. She has all the qualities of an excellent nurse, but her heart for her patients exceeds everything!!

Amy is an essential part of the cancer center and the healing process each patient goes through. Her care and compassion go beyond the cancer treatment. I have heard patients tell her that in their lowest of lows, it was Amy who has gotten them through their dark times. She is there in the peaks and the valleys. Amy is the ray of sunshine patients need when going through cancer treatments. Her care and compassion are evident when she interacts with each patient. Many patients know her by name and when she does take a day off, her presence is missed not only by staff but the patients. Amy is an example of what a compassionate caring nurse is and I am lucky to work with such a wonderful caring nurse. Thank you, Amy, for all you do for our cancer patients. You truly do make a difference.
