I can only imagine having someone interrupt my lunch, but she immediately smiled, pulled out the chair next to her, and asked me to sit down.
I came to visit my sister here at the ACU. I was having a really rough day due to my sister having surgery. I saw this nurse at the coffee stand in the morning, and she helped me put in my order. She was so kind and sweet. She walked me to the ACU, but I saw her press 7 beforehand, so I assume she works on the 7th floor.

When I was leaving, I saw her sitting outside eating. I didn't want to trauma dump, but I remember her saying she worked with the mentally ill, and I had a really rough day with my sister coming out of surgery, so I decided to ask her if I could sit and eat with her. I can only imagine having someone interrupt my lunch, but she immediately smiled, pulled out the chair next to her, and asked me to sit down.

To my surprise, when I started venting to her, I broke down crying about my sister's heart surgery, and she told me she used to work on the cardiac floor here, and I just know Jesus brought me to her. She talked me through things I could expect my sister to experience and things I could do to help, and then she told me I was being a good advocate for my sister, which meant the world to me because my sister is my world.

I am an older sister, and she expressed to me that she was the oldest girl as well. Which makes sense, since she stopped her break to make sure I felt welcome. I really appreciated her taking her break time to talk to me. May she continue to bless others the way she blessed me today.
