I originally met Kayla two years ago when she helped me through the birth of my first son. I opted for a natural birth both times, and my first son got stuck in the birthing canal. Kayla kept me calm and showed me some different movements to help get him through. They worked, and she saved me from having a C-section.

With this delivery, my water broke, but I hadn't started having any big contractions. The doctor stressed the need to deliver the baby within 24 hours to avoid infections. After several conversations, I agreed to let them give me Pitocin to help my labor progress. When Kayla arrived that evening, she gave me a lot of information about this decision that no one else had. She was very honest, open, and realistic about everything. She was the only person to make sure and kept making sure that I was fully informed.

When the contractions became unbearable, she stayed by my side and coached me with soothing words. She was confident in my ability to get him here in the time I was given. It gave me confidence, and I honestly feel I couldn't have done it without her.  Two years ago and today, she saved me from a c-section twice and allowed me to have the most natural birth I could have. She is an amazing nurse and both my son's and my hero! I honestly can't praise her enough.
