Felicia was nominated by a patient’s mother who was touched by Felicia’s kindness and attentiveness to her son, who has Prader-Willi syndrome, a rare genetic disorder. The patient’s mother was especially grateful that Felicia took time to read her son stories when she couldn’t visit. Felicia also placed a call to her on the patient’s behalf so they could talk on the phone. These special touches “made a big difference in his stay,” and helped both the patient and his mother feel better during a difficult transition.
