The patient was transferred to the ER and hospitalized medically. It turns out the patient had gone to their pain doctor that day and received medication that was too high a dose, and she was overdosing. Because of Carolyn's judgment and ensuring EMS checked on her, it likely saved this patient's life. Carolyn's actions resulted in the safety of the patient and likely saved her life.
