I would like to nominate Desiree for the DAISY Award because she went above and beyond everything that I had expected. She was very concerned, very polite, asked me a lot of questions, and asked if I needed anything. As many times as I told her thank you, she said I didn't have to, and I said no, I do have to, because she was the greatest person. I really needed her compassion, and she was there for me. She answered every question I had, and she explained everything she was going to do today, regarding blood work and pain medicine. She explained everything, and not many people do that. I know you can't hear me, but I'm crying right now because I think she is the best. I feel she's God-sent, and anything that I needed her to listen to, she did. I asked her if I could have a few minutes for her to just listen to me, and she said sure with no problem and no hesitation. I spilled my heart telling her about all the problems I used to have. My mother passed away, my son passed away, and then I lost my leg in the same month 2 years ago. I don't think there are many other people who would take their time to listen, and for that, I thank you. You are such a wonderful person. I hope to see you again to tell you how I feel. Remember, I told you one person can change another person's life just by listening.
