My son presented to the Emergency Department with severe abdominal pain. I was working that day in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and proceeded to the Emergency Department triage area to meet them. During this time, we encountered Miguel Camargo, RN. Miguel stepped outside to greet us and requested that we accompany him. He assured me that he would provide the necessary care for my son. From the moment we entered the department, Miguel demonstrated warmth and compassion towards us.

He personally escorted us to a room and completed the admission process himself, taking the time to explain each step in detail. As a mother, I was filled with anxiety and deep concern for my son’s pain. Miguel’s composed demeanor, professionalism, and empathy immediately alleviated my worries. He was attentive and gentle with my son, which brought a profound sense of comfort to both of us.

Throughout the visit, he exhibited genuine kindness and exceptional clinical care, making what was a stressful and distressing situation considerably more manageable. Miguel’s dedication and compassion transformed a challenging experience into one where we felt supported, secure, and genuinely cared for. I am profoundly grateful for his exceptional efforts in not only caring for my son but also for me as a concerned parent.
