The evening that Aisa was our night nurse was completely game-changing.
After delivering my first child and moving to the recovery section of Labor and Delivery, it was extremely difficult to wrap my head around my personal bodily pain and recovering while also learning to care for, tend to, feed, and keep clean and happy my brand new child. All of the nurses that we worked with were completely wonderful, but the evening that Aisa was our night nurse was completely game-changing. Her attentiveness to my husband, our baby, and me as she spent a lot of time ensuring that we were taking measures to each sleep, such as calming our child or helping to keep the one on “awake duty” awake by talking to us and teaching us valuable baby lessons, tips, and tricks. Her level of care and time spent went above and beyond great attention to detail and was unparalleled. You can tell she not only loves her job but also is sincerely one of the nicest, most caring people I’ve ever met. And I’m so fortunate that we got to meet her in one of our greatest times of need. Not only did she make that stressful all-nighter more bearable, but my husband and I each actually slept on a rotating schedule, and we felt our baby benefited greatly from this. It was because of Aisa's compassion and commitment to not just going through the motions but actually seeing what would be most helpful and impactful for these specific people that made us really feel cared for and blessed to have her for those short (but long) night hours. She made me feel not alone and continued to reassure me that what was happening and what I was feeling was normal and that there were ways to make it better. She showed us how to make it better and assisted in our learning process more than any pamphlet or YouTube video ever could.
