Jamie cares for her patients the way she would want any of her family members to be cared for. She goes above and beyond for her patients to make sure they are taken care of. Most recently, Jamie was on call and was assigned 2 after-hours admits. Late in the day, the office became aware that there was an issue with an admit getting their delivery from the pharmacy on time and that the on-call nurse would need to go out to see this patient. This patient was worried about missing their medication. Jamie spoke with all 3 of these patients and the pharmacy to coordinate when they would get their deliveries so she could go to them all. The 2 admits got their deliveries, and she was there to see them. The last patient was the farthest away and finally got a delivery around 11:30 pm. Jamie did not hesitate despite having a 7-point day and an 8-point day the following morning. She did not get done in the field until 1 am. She said she couldn't let the patient suffer and miss doses, stating "it's not her fault". She puts patients first. While it could have been easier to call and make up any excuse to not go (as this is outside our usual time for scheduling known on-call visits), she did not do that. She is the BayCare effect. It's dedication and loyalty like this that put us above the rest. Thank you, Jamie, for doing what's right and not looking for the easy way out. Be proud, and don't ever stop being amazing.
