Kara Hamilton embodies all the qualities of a great nurse. She is truly an example of putting children first. She shows so much compassion, respect, and kindness to my child and does her job exceptionally. On top of it all, she's amazing. Guiding us and keeping us informed every step of the way. She makes us feel like family, not just a nurse walking in doing her job and leaving. She is leader material, and it shows in her work and how she manages it all. She even has time to be sweet and gentle with my kid, among all the chaos. I would want her to be my child’s nurse permanently because I feel at ease knowing my son is in great hands professionally and physically. She deserves to be recognized for being a great nurse. She keeps up with everything from meds to formula to spending time with my son, trying to make him as happy and comfortable as he can be. Respects when he's sleeping and lets him rest, and comes back and tries to be extra quiet so as not to wake him up while giving meds. She doesn't just assess him, she talks with him and plays with him. She keeps me informed on everything she's doing, double checks everything is right. She lets me know what the plan is, and she comes in and is just so sweet and kind and professional, ready to work. It's amazing.
