It is my honor to nominate Simone Campbell-Taffe for the DAISY Award in recognition of her exceptional nursing practice and compassionate patient care. Whether it is taking extra time to explain a diagnosis or holding a patient's hand during a stressful situation, Simone demonstrates a remarkable ability to combine clinical expertise with genuine human connection. Beyond technical skill, Simone shows a gift for listening or advocacy. She not only ensures that patients' needs are met, but also helps patients feel seen, heard, and respected at some of their most vulnerable moments. She advocates for her patients relentlessly and has the clinical knowledge and foresight to bring issues to providers' attention before they turn into dangerous situations. In addition to providing outstanding bedside care, Simone is a team player who lifts others up. She mentors other nurses, collaborates seamlessly with all members of the healthcare team, and fosters an environment where patient safety and dignity are always the highest priorities. For these reasons, I wholeheartedly recommend Simone for the DAISY Award.
