Everyone here has been great, but Jillian changed my life.
From Patient:
Jillian was literally my hero. My mom took the first shift last night, watching my baby, so I could catch up on sleep, as I didn’t sleep during labor. My baby was in the second 24 hours, which makes her really fussy. She was crying and uneasy, as I’m a first-time mom. Jillian came to check on me multiple times, joked with me, and comforted me, telling me I was doing a great job. She showed me some tricks and tips and helped to stop my baby from crying very quickly. She is an expert at swaddles, and her laugh brightens up a room. She’s honestly the best nurse I have had here and other places, too! I am so thankful that she is here to teach me and help me welcome my baby into this tough world.
You rock. I would have taken you home with me if your boss had let me! All jokes aside, I’m thankful for people like you still in the world. Hopefully, my daughter has kids like me and meets someone just like you someday. Everyone here has been great, but Jillian changed my life.
Thank you, Jillian!
From the Patient's Mother:
I am the mother of a patient. I was watching my new granddaughter one night, so my daughter could get some rest. My granddaughter was being very fussy. I was worried I was out of touch, as I could not quiet the baby. Our nurse for the night came into the room because she heard her crying and asked if I needed anything. Upset, I said I didn’t know what was wrong. She said, “Well, let me help.”
She did everything I tried again, and then did a swaddle I wish I knew. She grew quiet, then started to cry again, so the nurse went to get a bottle and asked if I minded if she fed her. She seemed excited to get the chance. She fed her, changed her, and rocked her while assuring me I wasn’t out of practice, just sometimes babies get fussy. Then she got her all settled in to sleep, looked at me, and lovingly said, “Now get some rest, grandma!”
She went above and beyond her job to be compassionate and helpful. One of the nicest, loving nurses I have ever met.
