My mother, Christy, is not only my biggest inspiration but also an incredible advocate for the children she cares for every day. She doesn't just see her role as handing out medications or taking temperatures; she sees the whole child. She notices when something is wrong, when a child has been mistreated, or when they simply need someone to watch out for them.

She takes that responsibility to heart and makes a real difference in their lives. Her compassion and protective nature go far beyond her job description. She is often the voice and safe space for children who may not have anyone else to turn to. The way she consistently puts their needs first and ensures they feel seen, heard, and valued is a true reflection of what nursing is all about.
