My wife and I entered the Baptist Hospital in November. I was worried because of my health. The doctors had made reservations for me because my blood count was too low. I was symptomatic of anemia. It seemed like I was in trouble because of my health. I was worried and scared at the beginning, but then the medical staff began to come into my room.

Each person took the time to make me comfortable, and they helped me understand the status of my situation. After a while, a star visited me. Her name is Danette Dixon. She greeted us warmly with a smile. Immediately, she began to let us know she is my nurse and she will take care of me. I was assured that I understood what my next step would be. Danette worked the second shift. She checked on me throughout the night. She brings her talent to her job.

The truth is that during our stay at the hospital, every person we met in the hallways would speak to us and help us if we had questions. I felt that the most important and helpful aspect of Danette is that she made sure that we knew what our next step was, where we should be, when we should take our next step, and she was responsible for making sure we took the next step. Danette has a motherly love in helping us to understand what is to take place and where we should be on time, no matter what time of the night it is.

She is very thoughtful, very gentle, but firm. Thank you for allowing Danette Dixon to be our nurse and our helper. As I entered the hospital, I was scared. Two days later, I left feeling that the mission had been completed successfully.
