I had to have a stent put in my heart. I want everyone to know how amazing Adrian is as a nurse. He knew I was okay going into the Cath Lab, but coming out, I was having problems; my anxiety was taking over. Adrian stayed with me and went over everything, ensuring I was able to calm down and not have a panic attack from my pain and anxiety. I believe Adrian is a nurse who truly cares for his patients, no matter how short of time they have with him. Thank you, Adrian, for your calming behaviors and kindness. It really went a long way for me.

Since COVID, I have had the unfortunate experience of being in the hospital 9 times. In all those times, my attending nurses have been competent and professional. But, for this last procedure (heart SVT ablation), my attending nurse, both prep and recovery, was outstanding. Adrian’s demeanor was one of genuinely caring about not only my physical needs but my emotional needs as well. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He explained what steps he was taking to prepare me for the procedure and what would happen after. He put me at ease and reduced my anxiety.

After the procedure, he was very attentive, checking on me every few minutes. Always concerned about the incision, if I needed anything, and if I was comfortable. He talked me through what I should do and not do when I got home. His professional and personal demeanor exemplifies what all persons in the medical field should aspire to. It is for these reasons that I nominate Adrian for this award.
