He holds himself to incredibly high standards and consistently goes the extra mile, not only for his own success but for the success of others.
I would like to recognize Medihanie [Meh-Dee-ha-nee], though he prefers Meda [Meh-Da], because few can pronounce his name. Meda is an exceptional student whose determination, resilience, and generosity make him stand out among his peers. He holds himself to incredibly high standards and consistently goes the extra mile, not only for his own success but for the success of others.

During the early and most challenging terms, when many of us felt like we were barely keeping up, Meda stepped up to support those around him. He took it upon himself to tutor others before our head-to-toe check-off. He sacrificed his own rest, staying up late to help others gain confidence and clarity the night before a major exam and check-off of his own. That level of commitment, especially when he had his own responsibilities to manage, speaks volumes about his character.

He is the type of student who does not stop at ATI quiz banks (as recommended for studying before an exam), he goes further, diving deep into textbooks, mastering the PREPU platform, and reaching higher levels than required, simply for the sake of true understanding. He does not know it yet, but a motto a couple of us students have is “What would Meda do?” simply because he is a true student role model. He is now a tutor at the college, continuing to support his peers formally and informally.

Personally, he has been a true friend and support system. Whether it is checking in on classmates who are running late, sharing recorded lectures without hesitation, or offering helpful resources. He never gatekeeps resources or knowledge that could help someone else. Meda genuinely wants to see his classmates succeed. His selflessness, discipline, and compassion make him more than deserving of this recognition.
