Her calm professionalism, skill, and compassion were nothing short of extraordinary. In those critical minutes, she became my guardian angel.
I am writing today to express my deepest gratitude and admiration for one of your exceptional nurses, Mrs. Rose Ranzino Martin.
In the fall of 2025, while I was at the gym, I suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. By the grace of God, and because of Rose’s immediate and decisive action, I am alive today to share this story.
When I collapsed, Rose noticed right away that I was in distress. After checking and finding no pulse, she began performing CPR without hesitation and continued tirelessly until EMS arrived. Her calm professionalism, skill, and compassion were nothing short of extraordinary. In those critical minutes, she became my guardian angel.
What touched me even more deeply was what happened afterward. That night, she could not sleep, worried about whether I had survived. The following day, she went to church with her family to pray for me, a man she had only just met. When she learned that I had survived, she was overjoyed.
When we met a week later, she greeted me with tears, smiles, and countless hugs. It was one of the most emotional and humbling moments of my life.
I want you and your entire leadership team to know what an incredible asset Rose is, not only to your hospital, but to the entire community. Her dedication, compassion, and humanity exemplify the very best of the nursing profession. We need more people like her in this world, nurses who lead with both skill and heart.
We also held a small gathering to honor Rose and the two other nurses who assisted in my resuscitation. It was a moving reminder of how nurses like her give hope, life, and healing every single day.
Please extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to Rose and your entire team. I will forever be grateful for the gift of life she helped return to me.
