Going through cancer at the age of 32 is a scary and lonely process. Going to the cancer unit and being the youngest one is nerve-racking. Connor made the whole process a little more comforting. Every time he changed out my chemo bag, he always asked both my husband and me if we needed anything. We got to know each other, and you can tell he truly cared about how I was doing. Now that I am feeling better, it’s nice to have a familiar face and someone to joke around with. He always keeps the mood positive.

Connor has probably been a nurse at the Cancer Center for a year or two. My mother has been coming to this Center for almost 10 years, and very few nurses have made an impact on her. My mom is not one to complain, but I know her enough to know what's up with her. He picked up on it, too. He’s a very caring and attentive person. The exact person you'd want working with sick individuals.

My mother is terminal, but every time she's here, he treats her like she is the strongest girl in the world. He is our favorite nurse to see, and the reason we haven't jumped ship and gone elsewhere. He's a great de-escalator and can mellow out even the craziest.
