Amanda is a clinic nurse in the Slidell Psychiatry Clinic. She is constantly recognized by the providers for the first line of care that she gives to patients. One Friday afternoon, a well-known patient of the clinic phoned the clinic, and it was quickly determined that the patient was in crisis. Amanda kept the patient on the phone while notifying the patient's providers and the police department. Despite going hours past the close of the clinic, Amanda was committed to doing all she could for this patient. She is truly dedicated to her patients and exemplifies what it means to care for them.
