My nurse, Kasandra, went above and beyond in every possible way during my care. From the moment she entered the room, she brought a sense of calm, compassion, and professionalism that immediately made me feel safe and cared for. She took the time to listen, explain every step of what was happening, and make sure I understood and felt comfortable with my treatment. Even in the chaos, she remained patient, attentive, and kind. She noticed when I was anxious and took extra time to reassure me, advocate for me, and make sure my needs were met — even when she had so many others to care for.

Kasandra was very friendly and caring from the moment she introduced herself. I wasn’t planning on being at the ER, but the Walk-In clinic sent me over, so I didn’t have any extra tampons with me, and I was on my period. She asked her coworkers and came up with 5 tampons for me. She also asked a coworker for a phone charger. I was being transferred to Bloomington for immediate surgery, and she made sure she covered any needs or questions we had. I believe she went way above and beyond for me while I was in her care.
