Ramila went above and beyond in caring for my 94-year-old father during his month-long stay in the hospital. With the extended stay, my dad often felt confused and depressed about his situation. He needed a lot of assistance with walking. Ramila walked with my dad down the hallway and set up a chair by the large window at the end so he could look out and feel the sun on his face while we sat together. This small act of kindness lifted his spirits tremendously! Several other small acts were so meaningful: ordering my dad a brownie and ice cream on his 94th birthday to help celebrate his special day in the hospital, arranging for PT to see him in the morning before grandkids and others came to visit so that he could be moved to the recliner in his room, and communicating and caring for him with such warmth, respect, and true interest. Ramila was my dad’s favorite nurse, and we were so happy when she was assigned to work with him during his stay.
