During my multi-day stay, I was blessed to be cared for by Gretchen, who truly lives out the I-CARE values– especially Respect and Excellence. From the start, she treated me more than a patient. She listened to my concerns, even when I was complaining. She explained every step and kept me in the loop, and always made sure my concerns were addressed.

She even anticipated my needs before I had to ask, going above and beyond to make me comfortable and at ease. It was very clear she takes pride in her work and does things the right way, every time. What meant the most was the genuine respect she always showed my husband and me. I never felt like a task or a room number to her; I felt like a person who truly mattered.

Because of Gretchen’s excellence, kindness, and compassion, my hospital stay was more bearable. Gretchen is one I will always remember and wish I could have during all my stays.
