Her empathy and kindness shine so bright. She helped me conquer all my biggest fears and make it through some really scary moments of labor and delivery.
Last weekend, I had my baby at Fairview Lakes Labor and Delivery. Alyssa was my nurse on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday. My labor and delivery were long, and there were moments that were extremely difficult. Alyssa was by my side the entire time and made sure she answered all of my questions, even though I asked a lot of them.
Her patience was endless. On Saturday night, Alyssa was supposed to leave at the end of her shift. However, I was in a very painful part of labor and was very anxious about her leaving my side. Without question, she stayed late, even though she had another 12-hour shift the next day. She slept at the hospital that night so that she could report back in time for her morning shift at 7 am. She was my wonderful nurse once again on Sunday.
After I had my baby, I was in so much pain, and I was very emotional. She took care of me and showed me so much kindness and empathy. She was right by my side. Alyssa was also my discharge nurse and made sure everything was explained to us before leaving the hospital. She clearly cared that my husband and I left the hospital confident and prepared. Alyssa showed genuine excitement for us and the arrival of our baby girl. She treated our baby with the same kindness as she did me. It is clear Alyssa has a passion for what she does. Her empathy and kindness shine so bright. She helped me conquer all my biggest fears and make it through some really scary moments of labor and delivery. She cared for me at my most vulnerable moments.
Her guidance on breastfeeding has helped me become so successful at feeding my newborn. Alyssa made an impact on my life, and I'll never forget everything she did for me. She truly goes above and beyond. I'll never forget her and how she treated me. She reminds me how much kindness can make a difference in this world. She is an incredible nurse and person.
