Overall, in 2025, 11 DAISY Award nominations were submitted for Marlita by the patients and families she assisted. These are a few of those she cared for, and I want to address some of the accolades she received as follows.

• You are truly the heart of the hospital, and I am deeply grateful for everything you did. Thank you for your dedication and for treating me not just as a patient but as a person.

 

• Marlita is a very good and excellent nurse who is a credit to the profession and the hospital.

 

• She was certainly a professional in all aspects of her nursing. I thank her for her professionalism and for getting me well as soon as possible.

 

• Marlita is the most helpful person ever. She will drop everything to help anyone, which is an amazing attribute. Not only is she helpful, but she is really smart. She is an amazing nurse. Her bedside manner is phenomenal. She is really gentle and makes you feel really comfortable. Just seeing her in the hall puts a smile on my face, even on the hardest days. She is just an amazing person with a great heart!

 

• Marlita was attentive, kind, made sure I was comfortable, and went out of her way to find me a meal. This has been my best hospital stay!
