Katie you are a rock star! Once I started radiation treatments, in the beginning, it went OK, as I really hadn’t noticed the effects yet. But as things started to physically, emotionally, and spiritually affect me, Katie was like a sister to me. Her sincere compassion and genuine concern were a daily dose of goodness for me.

Going through something like radiation was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, and Katie was right there with me every single day. She listened to my concerns, was right there with me during the hardest moments of the treatments, and prayed for me and with me when I was at my lowest.

Katie is the blueprint for compassionate care and nursing. Her way of connecting with patients, and with me in particular, was both inspiring and uplifting. Those were dark times for me, and being able to confide in her and know she truly cared kept me going. I seriously doubt I’d be doing this well without her in those moments. She is a true patient advocate and friend in a serious time of need.
