I have been a patient at the dialysis unit for four years. I came originally to the dialysis center very sick. These amazing nurses took me under their care as if I were their family member. Thanks to their extraordinary skills, dedication, and unwavering empathy, I have been able to stay alive. They trained me in the use of dialysis with diligence and patience, but more importantly, with qualities you don't learn in nursing school: great kindness and empathy. I shall never forget their dedication and tenacity to help me get better; I remain indebted to them for their support during my challenging times. On many occasions, I have had to call them after hours for their help and expertise. They have always responded to my call without hesitation. I was most impressed when Beverly Waller herself drove to my house to troubleshoot technical issues with my dialysis machine on more than one occasion. She always came with a smile and an incredibly positive disposition. Every month, I come to the dialysis unit for follow-up, and these nurses tend to my medical needs with amazing professionalism that goes above and beyond. I have only received remarkable attention to detail and superb sensitivity. I feel most fortunate to be in their hands. It is with heartfelt gratitude that I express my most sincere recognition to these outstanding nurses.
