She also brings up the morale of the employees and is always willing to lend a helping hand.
This lady is a Nurse Practitioner for Pete's sake and still chose to take on a very hectic unit as an RN. She has absolutely given her all to turning the unit around and to being a supportive leader for her staff. She's involved in several beneficial committees, projects, and groups. Aleshia completed the Leadership training offered by WVU this past year. She has proven to work EXTREMELY well with other departments and disciplines for the benefit of her patients and staff. What makes her extra wonderful is her perpetually positive attitude and her approachability. Suggestions, complaints, and praises can all be brought to her and are considered with the utmost respect. Aleshia is an invaluable member of the team and a blessing to her patients.

Aleshia has been a huge asset as a boss on our floor. She has been an advocate for us since the very first day she took us all under her wing. She will be so dearly missed by the 4th-floor staff, but we know her heart belongs in the ED. They will be so lucky to have her.

Aleshia is the nurse manager for the 4th floor. I am a 4th-floor nurse. In my career as a nurse, I have had a multitude of managers, supervisors, and superiors, none of whom have compared to the care, professionalism, and understanding that Aleshia has. She is able to handle the pressures that come with being a manager with grace. Even in some of the more stressful situations, Aleshia remains professional and graceful. She is understanding of high emotions, stress, and workload on the staff. Her ability to de-escalate any intense situation is superior. She also brings up the morale of the employees and is always willing to lend a helping hand. I have not met a more deserving nurse and manager than Aleshia.
