There was a night-shift nurse; I believe her name was India. I absolutely loved her. My first surgery was my appendix, and even though I'm 19. I was honestly scared and felt lonely. I didn't like that I wasn't home, couldn't see my friends or go to work, and couldn't move around at all. But India would come in check on me and talk to me for about 5 to 7 minutes, and it would make me feel better.

She would listen to me when I was in pain or when I needed something; she was super quick. I loved all my nurses, but she stood out to me. She made me feel comfortable. I felt she would pay attention to me too, because when switching to my morning nurse, she said, "she like to sleep with her lights on," and I do! I felt like she really cared for me and paid attention to me.
