Vai is one incredible nurse who truly embodies the “patient-focused” mission. She has had my mother for two days now, and it seems like she has known her forever. Almost like Vai is taking care of a neighbor she has known her whole life. The patient's persistence with my mom, to push her gracefully to strive to get better, heal, get her moving, and a path towards a safe discharge, has been incredible.

She allowed the family to be a huge part in finally getting her out of the bed that she had been in for a few weeks, into a chair, which was an incredible milestone in her recovery. This, too, was all while she was a preceptor with a new nurse in training. She never wavered in any way from her peaceful, kind nature.
