My husband and I would like to recognize Nina for the exceptional care she provided us during the birth of our daughter. Her shift started when I began active labor and pushing. She was so encouraging for my husband and I. Due to unforeseen circumstances with my OB being pulled to an emergency C-section, I ended up pushing for 5 hours.

This was emotionally tolling, and the unknown was so anxiety-provoking. Nina remained calm for my husband and me, kept us educated on the facts only, not the hypothetical situations, and made sure my daughter and I were healthy and stable while we waited for my OB to return. Ultimately, my birth story resulted in a C-section, which was quite traumatic. My daughter and I were healthy filling but emotionally I was hurting.

Nina stayed beyond the time of her shift being done to make sure who was taking over for me knew the facts and helped me and my new family get settled into our room. It felt like Nina became a member of my family that night, and I am eternally grateful she was assigned to my case that night.
