I had the distinct pleasure and good fortune to be assisted while being cared for by Kathleen Nunes while recuperating from surgery. Nurse Nunes provided compassion in her duties, ensuring she went above and beyond her many duties as a nurse, to make sure my injuries were cared for.

Nurse Nunes is a nurse whom I have never had the pleasure of meeting. She would listen to me with a kind heart and attentive ears. I told her that I was going to miss the annual easter hunt with my family. Prior to her leaving her shift that night, she brought me a plastic egg with a very encouraging note. It warmed my heart greatly. I passed the news to my daughter, and they thought this was the sweetest thing ever. Nurse Nunes provided excellent health care to ensure a speedy recovery. She is a nurse who is educated, honest, caring, and a huge value to the VA White River Hospital. I would go as far as to say she is the best nurse I’ve ever had, and I’ve been in healthcare for a long time.
