Fue entonces cuando entramos al área donde él reposaría, y la enfermera Nayeli se presentó de una forma gentil y amigable. Ya no pude ver su rostro por completo, pues portaba su cubrebocas todo el tiempo, pero puedo asegurar que lucía una sonrisa. Mi padre empezó a hacer bromas para aliviar su nerviosismo; ella, en lugar de enojarse o pedirle que guardara silencio, le seguía la corriente.

Su técnica era impecable: alistaba a mi padre muy velozmente, estando siempre atenta a cualquier malestar que él pudiera presentar. Ahora, mi padre ha salido del quirófano. Independientemente del resultado de la biopsia, me encuentro sentado frente a él, agradeciendo su labor. Han hecho de un evento muy atemorizante una experiencia que jamás hemos de olvidar.
