I am writing this personal statement to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional care provided by my nurse Terra. During my admission for a fractured pelvis, my nurse went above the standard care.

She took extra time to clearly explain my medication regimen to me and to clearly address all my concerns. Furthermore, I was deeply impressed by her meticulous attention to detail regarding my pain management schedule. My nurse demonstrates a profound commitment to patient well-being. She not only addressed my physical needs but also showed genuine empathy and respect, making me feel heard and valued as a person, not just a patient.

Her professionalism and positive attitude are a true asset to the nursing profession and Providence Hospital. My nurse explained and listened patiently to my anxieties, helped me feel less anxious, and helped me understand my treatment plan. Terra has the best bedside manner, a compassionate tone, is respectful of my wishes, and checks on me frequently during a difficult time.

I observed how well Terra worked with other staff, ensuring a coordinated approach to my care. Beyond treating my physical condition, Terra always asked about how I was coping mentally, making my stay less anxious, comfortable, and respected. Terra is empathetic, highly skilled, and she's reassuring and a strong communicator. Her professionalism was a rock for me when things were rough.
