Please share how this nursing leader creates an environment where attributes of trust, compassion, mutual respect, continued professional development, and ethical behavior are modeled and supported. "Faye brings 15 years of experience in various positions within the hospital, giving her a compassionate view of the individual struggles of the team, and allows her to guide us to be better professionally while we learn and grow professionally."

Please share how this nursing leader is accessible, available, and responsive to the needs of their team. "Faye is primarily a night shift coordinator, but that does not stop her from stepping in and assisting the day shift when we need it. She makes herself accessible to the team above and beyond traditional work hours, regardless of any personal challenges she may be having."

Please share how this nursing leader demonstrates problem-solving and encourages critical thinking. "Faye solves problems from a multifaceted approach due to her vast experiences in various positions within the nursing unit. Despite all her knowledge, Faye is not one to micromanage and encourages and respects hearing our thoughts as well."

Please share how this nursing leader demonstrates advocacy for their team. "Faye is not afraid to speak up on behalf of the team or her patients. She will do what is right, even if that means she will not be the most popular or liked person, which is the reason she is highly respected."

Please share how this nursing leader ensures that the needs of the team are communicated to organization leadership and how organizational priorities and directions are communicated to their team. "Faye keeps us on top of competencies, deadlines, updates, and changes. She reaches out to team members who may not have been present, to make sure they do not miss information that is critical to do their job. Faye is also able to refer us to the correct areas or people within the organization if there is a situation that she cannot solve."

Please share an example of how this nursing leader has demonstrated being a compassionate leader.  "Faye takes the time to get to know her team as individuals. Faye uses that to customize her approach with each of us. When situations occur that require corrective action, Faye delivers them while preserving the dignity of the recipient without sacrificing the seriousness of the change that is required."
