I had very specific concerns and needs that were deeply important to my comfort and well-being, and I was clear about those concerns when discussing next steps.

When I later learned that decisions had been made that did not reflect what I had agreed to, I felt frightened, frustrated, and unheard. In that moment, Kaitlin became my advocate.
