Angela made both my daughter’s and my time there a little bit better when life seemed pretty grey and sad.
Angela always treated my daughter with kindness and compassion. My daughter came to the ER under the influence of drugs and was not a very nice person to be around. Angela always had a smile and a word of encouragement. For a family member dealing with a loved one’s addiction, that small act of kindness was like finding a beautiful flower in a snowbank. The ER is often a tough place for everyone involved. Angela made both my daughter’s and my time there a little bit better when life seemed pretty grey and sad. Thank you, Angela. Job well done.

I wanted to take a moment to thank the ER evening nurse, Angela, who cared for my daughter during her stay in the Psych ER at St. Joe’s. A person with addiction and mental health issues often lives in a grey world where kindness is not often exhibited. Their families are tense and exhausted. Angela went above and beyond to show compassion and care to my daughter, who now, because of her illness, is not the funny, kind, and lovable person that she once was. Angela checked in on J often and spoke softly, with a welcoming, calming smile. Even though my daughter probably didn’t appreciate this kindness at the time, I certainly did. I truly believe that God puts certain people in our lives at the right time. I am thankful that Angela was there for my daughter during her time of need. She is a great nurse and an asset to Trinity Health.

Angela is unstoppable. She does not stop until the job is done and then some. I’ve seen many other nurses go to Angela for questions, concerns, and any help they need. Even when she’s dealing with a lot, she helps everyone. I’ve never seen a bad interaction with a patient. Angela goes above and beyond!
