If I had to pick a nurse to take care of my wife while she endures this condition, I would pick Emily 10 times out of 10. She embodies the caring and empathetic ethos of a nurse.
This was the second time in a week or so that Emily was the primary care nurse in the ED for my wife. My wife has multiple chronic and painful conditions, and in some cases needs to be seen for supportive therapy. Emily has always been kind and empathetic.

It is usually difficult to insert an IV catheter in my wife, as by the time we seek ED care, she has been vomiting for some time and is dehydrated. Emily walked in and started the line without any fanfare or hesitation. The second time, a few days later, she recognized the need for an ultrasound insertion and did not hesitate to call for help.

When taking care of my wife, Emily showed up. She came into the room regularly and asked if anything was needed. She was polite and kind and never made us feel like we were imposing on her for care. Even when my wife was in extreme pain and not the most pleasant person to be around, Emily was kind, polite, and gave outstanding care.

We never expected to be making regular trips to the ED for a health issue beyond our control. We're actively searching for a cure, regimen, or anything else that can return a meaningful quality of life to my wife while we wait to see a specialist.

If I had to pick a nurse to take care of my wife while she endures this condition, I would pick Emily 10 times out of 10. She embodies the caring and empathetic ethos of a nurse. She never left the room without asking if we had questions or needed anything else, and showed up long before we would ever think of hitting the call button because something wasn't right.

She communicated any requests to the physician and executed the orders in a timely manner. We never felt like we were a burden, never felt like we were asking for too much; we just felt like Emily cared about the pain and suffering of my wife and was there to alleviate them.

With standing orders, it wasn't too difficult, but Emily didn't make it hard or difficult. Everything worked as it should have, and we had as pleasant of an ED visit that you can have. Unfortunately, we make a lot of trips to the EDs in the area. We can't always go to United for care, but prefer to do so, as the care is usually better, kinder, and more efficient.

When Emily is there and assigned to care for my wife, the care goes far and away better than the care we receive from any other facility.”
