In one of the most stressful moments our family has faced, she was a steady, trusted, and compassionate support.
Vivie Herring received multiple nominations:
I would like to nominate Vivie for recognition for the exceptional care she provided to my mother during a very difficult and emotional hospital stay.
From the beginning, Vivie was nothing short of incredible. She advocated tirelessly for my mom, especially around pain management, and consistently did whatever was within her power to keep her as comfortable as possible.
During moments when my mom was experiencing significant pain and distress, Vivie remained calm, attentive, and deeply compassionate, never minimizing her symptoms and always pushing to ensure her concerns were taken seriously. What stood out just as much was the care Vivie extended to our entire family.
She took the time to clearly explain what was happening, what options were available, and what limitations existed-always with honesty, patience, and respect. Even when she could not change a situation, she made sure we understood why, which brought us a sense of grounding during an overwhelming time. Vivie's presence made a profound difference in our experience.
She embodied true patient advocacy, professionalism, and empathy. In one of the most stressful moments our family has faced, she was a steady, trusted, and compassionate support. We are deeply grateful for her care, and she is exactly the kind of nurse who deserves recognition for going above and beyond.

I would like to nominate Vivie for the DAISY Award in recognition of the outstanding care she provided to my dad during his recent hospital stay. We had the privilege of having Vivie as his nurse for four consecutive days, and each day we felt safe and secure knowing he was in her care.
Vivie constantly ensured that my dad's pain was well-controlled and that he had everything he needed. She was quick with a smile, always approachable, and even took time to chat with us about our pets and her own dog, making the experience feel personal and comforting.
During this time, Vivie was also training Angel L (who is also outstanding), and she did so with patience and professionalism. Her ability to provide safe, high-quality care while educating others is truly commendable. Vivie exemplifies what it means to be a compassionate and skilled nurse.
Her dedication, kindness and commitment to excellence made a difficult time so much easier for our family. I cannot think of another nurse more deserving of this recognition. Vivie has had an amazing attitude and has been so sweet to our mother. She has been extremely responsive and aware, and always on top of any issue.
It did not matter what I needed, from taking my scheduled medicine to helping me up, helping me get more comfortable in bed; she was perfect! So nice to have a morning glory to walk in your door first thing.
Vivie was very nice and friendly. She also made sure I was taken care of. I appreciate all the time she took to make sure we understood everything.
